The Best Care Includes
the Best COVID-19 Safety
Staying up to date on your oral health is critical to your overall
health, especially during this era of COVID-19. ROC Perio & Implants is an
essential business. ROC Perio & Implants far surpasses CDC guidelines for
surgical facilities. We go far beyond the minimums to ensure your safety and
the well-being of our staff. Allow us to share a few highlights of our
policies, procedures, and best practices.
Here is what sets ROC Perio apart:
-
ROC Perio's new facility and
state-of-the-art surgical theaters are always vigorously sterilized to the
highest standards each day.
-
Our surgical and dental hygiene
suites are sanitized between each patient.
-
Our surgeons, technicians, and
dental hygienists all utilize augmented PPE, including face shields and
dual face masks.
-
Your vehicle becomes our
waiting room as we minimize the number of people inside our practice.
Please call us when you arrive. We will soon invite you in!
-
Please use our
hand-sanitization station as you come in. Masks are also required.
-
Our staff welcomes you warmly
as always. For your added protection, we do a quick survey of any exposure
to COVID-19. If you prefer, online forms can speed up your check-in, and
minimize contact.
-
Our "no-touch"
temperature station allows you and our assistants to check for above
normal temperatures, a common early indicator of COVID-19.
-
We use state-of-the-art
equipment to clean and sterilize dental cleaning and surgical tools.
-
Teledentistry enhances our
follow-up after any surgical procedures. Patients no longer have to make
extra trips for progress exams. (Certain in-person exams may be
required.)
-
Because our facility is
brand-new, our heating and cooling system only supports our space.
(Many other medical facilities share heating and cooling
systems.
-
That means you could be breathing the same air as everyone else in the entire building.
-
ROC
Perio & Implants have added a state-of-the-art air purification system. These
revolutionary units employ the latest technology from NASA which cleans /
recirculates pure air during space travel. Bacteria and viruses are
destroyed as they pass through intense UV-C light and a photo-catalytic
process. Multiple stages of filtration trap the smallest particles down to
range of the COVID-19 virus, (approx. 0.1 microns.)
The second wave of the
COVID-19 Pandemic is upon us. Experts have learned so much more about
Coronavirus propagation since the first wave of 2020. 1) The COVID-19
virus can live a limited time on surfaces, and hence the need for vigilant
disinfection. 2) The tiny COVID-19 virus often travels limited distances
through droplet transmission from coughs and sneezes, and hence the need
for masks and distancing. 3) COVID-19 virus can also travel by airborne
transmission (without a droplet) where small particles “can be
dispersed widely by air currents and may become inhaled by a susceptible host
in the same room or over a longer distance from the source patient."(1)
Hence, there is also a need for indoor air filtration and purification, and
limiting gathering size. ROC Perio and Implants address all three of these
types of virus transmission.
Providing you the absolute best in protection is just part of ROC Perio
and Implants' commitment to "Exceptional and Personalized Care!"
